We are a seeking a full-time Contracts Manager. This position will provide administrative support to our Accounting and Legal teams and is ideal for a person who is interested in harmonizing their administrative skillset with substantive work with day to day operating agreements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the contract governance portion of the Company’s Deal Engagement and Location System (DEALS), including:
    • Identify and correctly interpret key contract terms
    • Input and update data in DEALS based on signed contracts
    • Liaise with Account Managers and the Legal Department re contract lifecycle events
    • Activate/terminate contract term data in DEALS
  • Assist with transition from the company’s former Contract Management System (CMS)
  • Provide support to the end users of CMS and DEALS.
  • Be a subject matter expert regarding data and functionalities of DEALS and CMS as required.
  • Liaise with the Contracts Paralegals and Account Managers regarding contract renewals and extensions


  • Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate, Paralegal Certification or equivalent experience
  • At least three years in a role that involves understanding and interpreting commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with the typical form and content of commercial leases and service contracts and comprehension of basic sales/business processes
  • Experience working with and adapting to contract/document management software environments and MS Office suite
  • Governance orientation with a high degree of practicality and problem solving skills
  • Resourceful, accurate and detail oriented
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while producing consistent high quality work
  • Proven ability to plan and organize workloads by establishing priorities and respecting deadlines, as well as the flexibility to accommodate unexpected situations
  • Personable and service-oriented person, who enjoys communicating with a broad variety of stakeholders in the company’s offices across Canada and the U.S.
