We are currently seeking a Credit Card Processing Analyst to join our Vancouver IT team. The Credit Card Processing Analyst is responsible for performing and coordinating credit card related tasks and activities pertaining to field equipment and credit card payments stream onboarding, following a clearly defined business process.

Jobs Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To specify merchant accounts configuration requirements and conduct testing for credit card processing equipment and electronic payment streams in card present/not present environments, with support of the Treasury department.
  • Assign respective sub-tasks to other team members in the Credit Card Processing Group that deal with the onboarding, changes and decommissioning of merchant accounts.
  • To develop, support, maintain, and teach-out technical training materials to branch offices as it relates to credit card processing, provision and transaction reconciliation.
  • To develop and maintain documentation regarding the operations of a credit card processing environment.
  • Evaluate, recommend and procure point-of-sale POS equipment and credit card processing services. Work closely with vendors on definition and evaluation.
  • Support the updating and maintenance of payment processing equipment and services inventory and associated merchant accounts and location assignments
  • Participate in PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance and associated governance framework activities
  • Work with Treasury Group and Field Technology Group to develop, maintain and update processes and procedures.
  • Work with Field Technology Group to improve the integration of field equipment, back office systems
  • Maintain a comprehensive and current knowledge in the areas of credit card processing, acquirer pricing models, POS technology solutions, reconciliation approaches and related auxiliary products and services.
  • Participate in credit card reconciliation tasks to ensure revenue completeness.
  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations in the area of credit card processing/reconciliation.
  • Participate in investigations pertaining to potential fraudulent activities.
  • Work with IT Management in the definition, implementation and enforcement of all IT Methodologies.
  • Seek and receive feedback from the Help Desk, users and vendors, evaluate needs and respond accordingly.
  • Report regularly to Company management on active investigations, issues and on a monthly basis.
  • Report weekly and monthly to Controllers and Operations in regards to credit card transactions related variances.
  • Negotiate with vendors on products and services.
  • Undertake any other related duties as required. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working within the Parking Industry is a definite asset but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Previous experience and/or exposure in the area of high volume, heterogeneous payment stream credit card processing is a definite asset
  • Revenue reconciliation processes, tools, and best practice
  • Collaborate technical, administrative and operational staff
  • Providing direction to an informal (indirect reports) company structure.
  • Familiarity with the technical and operational requirements for:
    • Merchant account hierarchies
    • PCI DSS Compliance
    • Gateway Processing Providers
  • Managing migration and/or technical projects.
  • Preparing reports and presenting them to management.
  • Establishing disciplined methodologies for technology usage and enforcing by them.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting or other relevant field.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Able to drive and manage change
  • Adhere to IT methodologies and disciplines
  • Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities, reprioritize tasks, establish priorities, work independently and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze and problem-solve complex issues
