Job Description

Republic Parking Northwest is currently looking for a full-time/part-time Lot Checker to work at our Tacoma, Washington location.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers pleasantly and professionally Verify current parking permits Investigate suspicious permits, issue parking notices  Verify payments for current daily parkers Answer pertinent questions related to the parking facility itself or the surrounding area Must have great attention for details, and will consistently provide clear and accurate information when asked.  Must be able to write and verbally communicate in English Must have excellent customer service skills.

Schedule: Multiple Positions

Position One:  10:00am-6:00pm, (Saturday & Sunday) – Part Time

Position Two:  6:00pm-12:00am (Saturday) 6:00pm-10:00pm (Sunday) – Part Time

Position Three:  4:00pm-12:00am (Friday & Saturday) & 10:00am-4:00pm (Sunday) – Part Time (Requires personal vehicle)

Position Four:  Early morning to afternoon (Monday through Friday) – Full Time (Requires personal vehicle)

Job Duties

Lot Checkers are responsible for verifying payments, issuing parking notices, and helping patrons understand the rules of the parking lots for off-street locations. 

  • Positions One & Two - Requires the use of a Company LPR and reports directly to the location managers assigned.

  • Positions Three & Four – Require the use of your personal vehicle.

  • Primary duties are to follow assigned route, verify payments, permits, reserved stalls, and time-limits within parking lots using several different software’s on a company provided handheld cell phone. 

  • Issue fee notices and take pictures. 

  • Follow up and request any signage clarifications and potential customer service issues.

  • Throughout the route: lot checkers are to clean general trash from lots and report any scoff law parkers, damaged equipment, detailed cleaning jobs, and/or suspicious activity.

  • Additional duties may include lot counts, permit counts, event assistance, and customer service liaison.
