We are seeking an  Afternoon/Evening  Maintenance Technician  for our Calgary branch. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the daily operations of maintaining equipment – in Calgary and area Impark Lots.  All work is to be performed under all company policies and procedures. This position does require some flexibility in shift hours.  Typical shifts will be Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm and must be available from 7am-6pm on weekends

You will be responsible for:

•           Operate vehicles and equipment, not limited to, power mowers, snow blowers.

•           Shovel snow from walks and parking lots, apply ice melt in those areas.

•           Care for lawns by weeding and trimming around flower beds, walks, or walls, watering of grass and plants.

•           Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.

•           Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.

•           Gather and remove litter from parking lots and walkways.

•           Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures such as fences.

•           Mix and spray or spread fertilizers onto grass, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.

•           Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, parking lots, and Impark equipment and signage.

•           Signage & equipment installation

•           Electrical (based on experience)

•           Forklift, Wheel Loader, Bobcat, and Commercial sweeper Operator experience

•           On call requirements to work nights and weekends

•           Other duties as may be assigned by Manager

Skills and experience required for this position include:  

•            Snow push and pile experience is considered an asset

•           Ability to take instruction, and work independently, as well as in a team environment.

•           Knowledge of basic electrical repair or installment. Small hand tool & Power tool knowledge

•           Willingness to learn

•           Problem solving

•           Ability to lift and work in diverse weather conditions

•           Grade 12 or Equivalent

This position requires the passing of a criminal background check.
