Job Description

Impark Edmonton Branch is currently seeking a Seasonal employee for our Patrol department.  The sucessful candidate must have open availability and be able to work all shifts and days of the week. 

Patrol Officer

About the Job

SUMMARY: The Patrol Officer is to ensure that all dashboard tickets and parking permits are valid. The duties involved require daily physical exertion, such as bending, twisting, lifting, walking, physical fitness is required.


Duties and Responsibilities:
• To understand the daily scheduled route before dispatching
• To inspect the hand held ticket machine to ensure it is in proper working order, including sufficient supply of paper
• To carefully check the expiration of parking tickets displayed on dashboards and parking permits/hang tags in vehicles
• To ensure accuracy is used when issuing parking invoices ( keying in correct information)
• To report any issues and concerns on all sites
• To record machine malfunctions and report to supervisor
• To make sure the hand held ticket machine is returned and battery is charged for the next shift
• Work different rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
• Wear a special uniform
• Often work outdoors, exposed to extreme weather conditions
• Usually drive an enclosed vehicle to monitor parked cars
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use Hands to control objects, tools, or controls
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand
• See difference between color, shades, makes and models of vehicles
• Be physically active for long periods of time without getting tired or out of breath


Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be punctual and self-disciplined
• Must be polite and have professional attitude
• Positive, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and personable
• Ability to work independently and in team environment
• General knowledge of computers
• Must have a clean Driver’s abstract
• Criminal and Credit clearance required
