We are seeking a Senior Landlord Accountant to join our Accounting team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Sr. Landlord Accountant will be primarily responsible for monthly Client Reporting, Variance Analysis, Month-end Balance Sheet Package preparation, and Bank/Tax reconciliations.  This position will assist the Assistant Controller with reporting requirements and meeting deadlines, both internal and external.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of monthly Landlord Reporting packages and associated reports. Preparation of any specialized financial analysis reporting requirements
  • Preparation and review of Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations along with any required follow-up
  • Preparation of Tax reporting and reconciliations to various Gov’t Agencies
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly variance analysis reports
  • Disseminate contracts to ensure accurate setup and reporting. Follow up on any Landlord inquiries or concerns
  • Assist with the Annual Operating Plan
  • Assist with various Branch & Lot Audit requirements
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies & procedures.  Ensure internal & external deadlines are met
  • Other various projects assigned by the Assistant Controller

Skills and Experience:

  • Post secondary education such as a degree/diploma in Finance and /or Accounting
  • enrolled in an Accounting Program and nearing Accounting Designation
  • 3 years of full cycle accounting experience
  • Supervisory experience an asset
  • Property or Parking Management experience an asset
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations  
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in financial reporting to senior management and external clients
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
