Impark is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant that specializes in US tax compliance based out of the Vancouver office. In this role you will work closely with our Director, Taxation in a dynamic and challenging US tax environment that complements Impark’s US operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Taxation

  • Prepare US tax returns for corporations and partnerships and other corporate tax filings and tax compliance; 
  • Coordinate, review, gather, and collect information and data for completion of the US federal, state, and city corporate and partnership tax returns and compliance; 
  • Administer US income, capital and other corporate tax instalments and payments;
  • Ensuring compliance with Internal Revenue Service Standards, including researching US tax issues and maintaining a strong understanding of US tax laws;  
  • Assistance with state and local audits regarding corporate taxation and sales tax.

Finance, Accounting and Analysis

  • Prepare non-consolidated financial statements for the corporate entities and other financial schedules required for the tax filings;
  • Prepare taxes payable analyses and reconciliations;
  • When necessary, assist with the analysis and implementation of potential acquisitions; Assist with gathering and providing information for due diligence request.

Other

  • Experience dealing with the IRS and various state income tax authorities;
  • Excellent excel skills;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize deadlines;
  • Highly organized and goal oriented;
  • Well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail.

Education

University degree in Accounting

Other Required Certifications – CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation

Professional/Related Experience

2-3 years’ experience in preparation of US corporate and/or partnership tax returns.

Experience with Prosystems FX is an asset.
